Inspiring a stranger

It’s been 3 days since Sunday(25/12/2011) i’ve been hit by flu & hot fever. The temperature keep going up and down, and so the flu. I just keep on eating the remaining medicine from the previous fever time.

Feared of it’s getting worst or getting viral fever, only on the 3rd day i went to my panel clinic at Melawati. I’ve been visiting the clinic since year 2000, and the doctor knows me well enough.

During my visits, he always ask me how’s my marathon & triathlon life. He impressed with my healthy lifestyle. He even relates me to what he is currently studying, about human psychology & ability.

Today, i went there for check up on the flu that i’m having. He then told me that he always consult his patients by telling inspiring stories, and make me as his role model to inspire (but he didnt expose my name to them). Wow, i really didnt expect to be given that high praise :P i’m just a normal person who loves doing sports. (more…)

Venue: Precinct 2, Putrajaya
Time: 7.30am

It was a last minute registration run. A friend of mine invite me to run. Its free, but u have to bring along at least 10 empty plastic water bottles.

Its a fun n enjoyable run. Not so crowded as many regular runners running at the malakoff 12km on the same day.

Clocked 37mins for the 7km run, n got myself the limited finisher’s medal ;)

Finished strong this time, no more being carried by medics.. LOL :P

The leaning clock tower

Menara Jam Condong, Teluk Intan

2

Its my 1st time going there. After checking out of our accommodation at Sri Manjung during the Powerman, we decided to have a short visit to the famous Teluk Intan landmark, the lean clock tower. Yes it’s a real, leaning tower.

We also had the famous Mastan Ghani mee rebus near the leaning clock tower.

Powerman 2011

When : 13/11/2011
Where : Sri Manjung, Perak.
What : 11km run + 64km bike + 10km run

Manjung people said, it was raining season there for the last 2-3 weeks. But it’s turned to be scorching hot on the event day!!! No rain even in the early morning before the event. The heat was as same as 2 years ago where i did my first Powerman.

My unofficial timing was 4:33… and it’s a PB ;) ALhamdulillah.. that’s a bonus for me.. a big achievement for my hard work. Next year, of course will try a new PB again :)

The rewards, a nice medal and a Brooks finisher's t-shirt

For me, the medal & finisher’s T is secondary. The most important thing to me is the enjoyment of the gathering with my sports friends & doing what like together.
